Todd Baldau serves as the Acting Superintendent of the Denver Mint. He began his federal government career in 1988 as a Program Analyst with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (Department of Justice). In 1991, Todd transferred to Federal Prison Industries (FPI), a component of the Federal Bureau of Prisons as an Industrial Specialist. He progressed to positions of increasing responsibility within FPI, including Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy General Manager of FPI’s Recycling Business Group.
In 2016, Todd joined the United States Mint as Senior Advisor to the Mint’s Deputy Director. In 2019, he was selected to serve as Chief of Staff for the Director of the Mint. Since July 2024, he has served as Acting Superintendent of the Denver Mint.
Todd has a B.A. in political science from the University of Maryland and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
